Friday Quick Takes (vol. 8)

one. I’ve been thinking a lot about what words I use to describe my daughter after reading this article that the hubs sent my way this week.

two. We scored some Meyer lemons from a friend at church and I can’t wait to use them for this.

three. I’ve been on the hunt for a lightweight stroller and finally decided on this one. I was about to buy it yesterday but didn’t pull the trigger after a promo code not working. I’m so glad, because later in the day a brand-new came up on Craigslist! The amazing seller is bringing it over tomorrow. I love Craigslist.

four. Added this food blog to my Google reader (sigh) after browsing through this article/slideshow.

five. Speaking of the soon-to-be-gone Google reader, I have absolutely no idea what I’m going to use to read all my blogs once it’s no more. Any suggestions? I’m only slightly stressing out about it, I don’t like change.

six. I found this awesome TED talk via a friend’s Facebook page. A few weeks later, I saw it show up in our neighborhood’s online social network site. I chimed into the conversation, and now we’re scheduled to host a few people over to tour our garden! I’m excited to show it off and to share ideas, but also a little nervous about whether they think our garden is as cool as we think it is. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

seven. What’s on the agenda for this weekend? A garden tour, much-needed haircut, and a date-night with my husband. I can’t wait.
