I’ve had the itch to nest these days. No, I’m not pregnant, but the bare walls in our home have started to nudge at me to put something, anything!, on them. We’ve been in our house for over 3 years now and have only nailed a few things on the walls. I think I just got used to college and young adult living, where you pack up and move every year, and I never saw the point in decorating.

But now, our home is permanent, and of all times it now feels like the time to nest! I am taking baby steps with it though. The rooms I have been quicker to decorate are the kids rooms because they feel a lot safer to experiment with. The latest project I’ve been working on is this alphabet frame, made from a window pane’s trellis and clothespins. All credit to this goes to my amazing friend Lisa! Who gave me the idea, gave me the trellis… and basically did everything but hold my hand through the actual putting together of it.

From there, get yourself some medium sized clothespins (Michaels and Diddums sell them) and strong glue, I just used a glue gun. This close pin frame is great for photos and I’ll probably use it that way in the future. But for now, I was really excited about using the alphabet cards that I gotten a while ago to work on the alphabet with Gianna.

It was also so fun getting to do the project with my girl! Although I had to do most of it myself, she loved helping hand me clothespins and she was busy learning how to clip them onto the alphabet cards.
